We are delighted with the new space, which has turned out to be bigger than we expected. We were somewhat taken aback when Hackney Council Building Regulations refused to allow us to have the roof ridge raised to increase head height. Andrew Tutka encouraged us to lower ceiling levels on the first floor to solve the problem, while adding a much larger bathroom than we had considered, within ‘permitted development’. It will look lovely, especially when fully furnished.
Importantly, all the workmen were pleasant, polite and helpful. Our neighbours, who intend a similar development, were impressed. We will employ TBS Tutka again, when we can.
