The Zero Carbon Hub task group has delivered a report to housing minister Grant Shapps in which it has released its recommendations for carbon compliance levels for zero carbon homes from 2016. The task group’s recommendations are that the “built performance†emissions from new homes should not exceed:
- 10kg C02 sq m per year for detached houses;
- 11kg C02 sq m per year for other houses
- 14kg C02 sq m per year for low rise apartment blocks
